Description

The official silver bullion coin of the United States is the American Silver Eagle. These coins, recognized as legal tender, uniquely bear the guarantee of weight and purity by the United States Government. Introduced by the United States Mint on November 24, 1986, the American Silver Eagle is exclusively struck in the one-troy ounce size.
